കോവിഡ് മരണം ഒരു ലക്ഷം കടന്നു, യുഎസില്‍ ഇരുപതിനായിരം
വാഷിങ്ടണ്‍: ലോകത്ത് കോവിഡ്~19 ബാധിച്ച് മരിച്ചവരുടെ എണ്ണം ഒരു ലക്ഷം കടന്നു. രോഗബാധിരുടെ എണ്ണം 18 മില്യനും പിന്നിട്ടു. ചികിത്സയിലായിരുന്ന നാലു ലക്ഷം പേര്‍ സുഖം പ്രാപിച്ചു. അറ ലക്ഷത്തോളം പേര്‍ ഇപ്പോള്‍ ഗുരുതരാവസ്ഥയില്‍ ആശുപത്രികളില്‍ കഴിയുന്നു.
185 രാജ്യങ്ങളില്‍ പടര്‍ന്നു പിടിച്ച വൈറസ് ഏറ്റവും വലിയ നാശം വിതച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത് യുഎസിലാണ്. ഇവിടെ കോവിഡ് ബാധിച്ച് മരിച്ചവരുടെ എണ്ണം ഇരുപതിനായിരം പിന്നിട്ടു. അഞ്ചര ലക്ഷം പേര്‍ക്ക് രോഗം സ്ഥിരീകരിച്ചപ്പോള്‍ 30,500 പേര്‍ രോഗമുക്തി നേടി. മരണസംഖ്യയില്‍ ഇറ്റലിയെ മറികടന്ന അമേരിക്ക, ലോകത്ത് വൈറസ് ബാധിച്ച് ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതല്‍ പേര്‍ മരിക്കുന്ന രാജ്യമായി.
സ്പെയിന്‍~163,027, ഇറ്റലി~152,271, ഫ്രാന്‍സ്~129,654, ജര്‍മനി~125,452, ചൈന~82,052, യു.കെ~78,991, ഇറാന്‍~70,029 എന്നിങ്ങനെയാണ് രാജ്യം തിരിച്ചുള്ള രോഗബാധിതരുടെ എണ്ണം. സ്പെയിന്‍~16,606, ഇറ്റലി~19,468, ഫ്രാന്‍സ്~13,832, ജര്‍മനി~2,871, ചൈന~3,339, യു.കെ~9,875, ഇറാന്‍~4,357 എന്നിവയാണ് വിവിധ രാജ്യങ്ങളില്‍ മരിച്ചവരുടെ കണക്ക്.
ഇതിനിടെ, ആഫ്രിക്കന്‍ രാജ്യങ്ങളിലും കോവിഡിന്‍റെ വ്യാപനം ശക്തമാകുന്നത് ആശങ്ക പടര്‍ത്തുകയാണ്. 12,966 പേര്‍ക്ക് രോഗം സ്ഥിരീകരിച്ചു. 695 മരണപ്പെട്ടപ്പോള്‍ 2,147 പേര്‍ രോഗമുക്തി നേടി. വന്‍കരയിലെ 52 രാജ്യങ്ങള്‍ വൈറസിന്‍റെ പിടിയിലാണ്. ലെസോതോ, കൊമറോസ് എന്നീ രാജ്യങ്ങളില്‍ രോഗ ബാധ ഇതുവരെ കണ്ടെത്തിയിട്ടില്ല. സൗത്ത് ആഫ്രിക്ക~2,003, മൊറോക്കോ~1,448, ആള്‍ജീരിയ~ 1,761, ഈജിപ്ത്~ 1,794 എന്നിവയാണ് രോഗ ബാധിതര്‍ ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതലുള്ള ആഫ്രിക്കന്‍ രാജ്യങ്ങള്‍.
